Morning — February 23 — Hebrews 12:24

to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. — Hebrews 12:24Christ's blood establishes a definitive shift from the demand for justice to the provision of grace. Abel's blood cried out for vengeance, but Christ's blood cries out for mercy, cleansing guilty consciences and opening confident access to God. Because Christ offered Himself once for all, believers stand permanently reconciled, and their hearts move from guilt into peace.
