Morning — January 23 — Romans 5:5

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. — Romans 5:5Hope does not put us to shame because its object is God Himself, whose love has already been poured into our hearts. The Lord's promise is guaranteed by His own unchanging nature and oath, so those who trust Him rest on solid ground. Because Jesus has entered the inner sanctuary as our forerunner, our hope is anchored in His finished work, not in our own strength. Shame is impossible for those whose confidence is in Him.
