Morning — January 4 — Deuteronomy 12:9

For you have not yet come to the resting place and the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you. — Deuteronomy 12:9You haven't arrived yet—and that's okay. Israel hadn't come to their rest, and a Sabbath rest still awaits God's people. This world is not your rest because it's defiled, but Christ has gone to prepare a place for you. Don't get too comfortable here; you're a pilgrim with a better home ahead.
