Morning — June 1 — Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, — Galatians 5:22The virtues we are commanded to display are not produced by human effort but by the Spirit's work within us. Because God has revealed Himself as slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, His Spirit grows that same character in His people. The ground of our forgiveness is Christ's cross, so our patience and kindness toward others respond to what God has already done for us.
