But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, — Galatians 5:22Longsuffering and gentleness aren't natural virtues you work up — they're fruit of the Spirit. The Lord revealed Himself as slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and His Spirit produces that same patience in you. Walk by the Spirit, and watch Him grow in you what the law never could — a heart that bears with others because you've been borne with. Love is patient, and patience is a gift.
