Morning — June 4 — Haggai 2:9

The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former, says the LORD of Hosts. And in this place I will provide peace, declares the LORD of Hosts.” — Haggai 2:9Haggai promised the rebuilt temple's glory would surpass Solomon's. On the surface that seemed impossible — the second temple was smaller, poorer. But the greater glory wasn't gold or cedar; it was the Lord Himself walking into that temple. Jesus is the true temple, and in Him God gives peace, not just for Jerusalem but for the whole world.
