Morning — May 24 — Ephesians 4:30

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. — Ephesians 4:30The Spirit is not a force—He is a person, and He can be grieved. We grieve Him when we walk in the flesh instead of the Spirit, when we harbor bitterness or speak corruption. Yet notice the Gospel frame: He seals us—not because we are faithful, but because Christ is. That seal is the guarantee of our inheritance until the day of redemption. The Spirit who can be grieved is the same Spirit who will not let us go.
