Morning — May 6 — Psalm 85:10

Loving devotion and faithfulness have joined together; righteousness and peace have kissed. — Psalm 85:10This is the Gospel in miniature—at the cross, God's perfect justice and His unfailing mercy embraced. The Law demanded truth and righteousness; grace provided mercy and peace. They met in the person of Jesus Christ, who satisfied the Father's justice while pouring out forgiving love. There is no conflict between God's righteousness and His love—they kissed at Calvary.
