from Christ Himself - A Daily Devotional · host Christ Himself Devotional
Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush Him and to cause Him to suffer; and when His soul is made a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. — Isaiah 53:10From eternity, the Father and the Son shared one purpose: to bring a redeemed people home through the Son's willing obedience. The cross was the historical moment when that eternal decree unfolded in time. The Father's pleasure rests in His Son's perfect alignment with His will.
