Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my doorway. — Proverbs 8:34Blessed is the man who watches daily at wisdom's gates. That's not an invitation to a one-hour sunday religion. It's a life of waiting on God the way a servant watches his master's hand. In the old testament, the Lord met his people at the door of the tabernacle; in the new, every believer is a temple where Christ dwells. The blessed life is the one that stays near the door, that prays without ceasing, that doesn't wander off and then wonder why God feels distant.
