God measures the trials he sends. The east wind could destroy, but he holds it back. He doesn't deal with us according to our sins. He knows our frame, remembers we're dust. When he chastens, it's for our profit, and he won't let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Even when satan asked to sift Peter like wheat, Jesus was praying for him. The storm is real, but so is the hand that holds it back.
