This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took on our infirmities and carried our diseases.” — Matthew 8:17Matthew looks at Jesus healing the sick and says, "He took on our infirmities and carried our diseases". He's quoting —the suffering servant who carries our griefs. Every healing was a down payment on the final healing accomplished on the cross. The great physician became the patient so you could be healed.
