For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. — Romans 6:14Sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace—that's not a license to sin, it's the reason you don't have to, because the law could command but couldn't empower, while grace both commands and enables. Sin gets its power from the law, but you've been discharged from the law, and the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free. Stand firm in that freedom—you're no longer a slave, but a Son.
