The aaronic benediction isn't a wish; it's a divine promise: when the Lord puts his name on you, he himself guarantees the blessing. We who were once "not a people" have now been called by his name, and that name is a strong tower. All our security rests not in our grip on him but in his name placed upon us in Christ.
