Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Review - Old Man Orange Podcast 722
from Old Man Orange Podcast · host Spencer Scott Holmes and Ryan Dunigan.
Spencer and Dave have just watched the new Mortal Kombat movie of 2 (not to be confused with Annihilation) and were thoroughly impressed with the experience. This movie goes to show that a sequel can really fix a rough start and turn the boat around to glory. The first MK movie from 2021 is about a middle of the road watch. There are great moments but also a lot of goofy changes. This sequel comes in and literally fixes them all and upgrades the MK movie dimension by really feeling like the games. The movie was so good on just a first watch that we both thought that beyond the nostalgia for Mortal Kombat 1995, this movie was right there with it. In fact, with the new MK2, you could even bypass watching the first movie of the new series and as long as you had a standard understanding of the characters, you'd be perfectly dialed in.Join us as we break it all down in this spoiler-filled discussion! Then get sidetracked as usual with other movies, games, comics, and life stories.
