Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  June is Pearl Clutchers month and my sister mandated Basic Instinct, a riff on the noire genre most famous for its interrogation scene where... oh my heavens!  Just thinking about it had me reflexively clutching my pearls so hard they broke.  Darn you, Basic Instinct!  Do you know how laborious it is to rethread these things?  How dare you!
