Multiple TBI Survivor Shares her Journey on Recovery Now with Kim Justus

In 2008 Kimmy Harvey was involved in a car accident, beginning her new life as a TBI Survivor. She spent two years primarily rehabilitating on my own. While her family tried to be helpful, it was a hard adjustment period for everyone. Kimmy and the people her life, all made life altering changes. She made further gains finally finding medical support through Upstate Medical Institute of Human Performance in Syracuse, New York. In 2011, she was rear-ended jarring her so hard it resulted in another head injury. Kimmy had to begin most of the rehabilitation all over again. Now she has been focusing on painting, doing art exhibits and selling her work. Kimmy is maintaining life's demands, striving for the things she wants to accomplish. She loves taking photographs and writing. She continues searching for the things that continue enriching her life and soul. This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me." We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation.
