Music programs are embracing tech; Poor David's Pub's new owner

WRR's music director Emilio Alvarez spoke with the deans at three North Texas music schools: SMU, UNT and TCU, to learn more about how their music programs support their students -- and how they're embracing ever-changing technology. Also, for 49 years, David Card ran a club that gave Townes Van Zandt, The Chicks and Maren Morris a chance. It's called Poor David's Pub, and it's one of the longest-running music venues in Dallas. Now, he's retired and has turned over the reins to his daughter. KERA's Marcheta Fornoff spoke with Amelia Card about running a listening room and how she's thinking about the venue's future.
