La música y la poesía, comparten un medio sonoro que se sustenta en una transformación continua, como la vida misma. El eco de lo público, de lo político, ideas y pensamientos se transmiten de generación en generación a través de ellas. Hoy, recordando el Día Mundial de la Poesía traemos dos miradas que nacen de "Antigonish", poema escrito en 1899 por el poeta norteamericano Hughes Mearns para su obra The Psyco-ed”. Dicha obra que se inspiraba en una casa encantada de la zona de Nueva Escocia, Canada, en la cual se decía que había un fantasma que rondaba por sus pasillos y escaleras, es hecha canción por primera vez en 1939 en "The Little Man Who Wasn't There" (El hombrecito que no estaba allí), de Harold Adamson con música de Bernie Hanighen. 32 años después, David Bowie para su tercer albúm 'The Man Who Sold The World' (El hombre que vendió el mundo), se inspira en este poema y lo reinterpreta planteando como esa figura espectral lejos de ser “otro” se convierte en un “yo”desconocido representando posiblemente la gran necesidad de descubrir quién sería ese “yo”en cada caso. Escucharemos a continuación un fragmento del poema en inglés al que le sigue la canción de 1939 "The Little Man Who Wasn't There" en la voz de Ford Leary junto a la banda de Larry Clinton y luego 'The Man Who Sold The World', interpretada por David Bowie y su band
