On this episode I spoke with Dennis Livingston about his newly released CD entitled "THE STORIES IN MY MIND". A CD of original songs by Boston composer-lyricist Dennis Livingston, recorded live in a revue at New York’s Metropolitan Room. The show ran for four performances in 2011 with an outstanding cast of vocalists: Julie Reyburn (4 time MAC, 2 time Bistro awards), Scott Coulter (Director) (4 time MAC, 4 time Bistro, 2 time Nightlife awards), Kenneth Gartman (Music Director), Christina Connors and Alex Goley, along with Matt Scharfglass on bass and guitar. Dennis' music lends itself, very much so, to the genre of musical theatre. One listen, and we're sure you'll agree! Dennis' father, Jerry Livingston, wrote, in addition to many pop standards, the music for Disney's Cinderella & one Broadway musical, "Molly" from 1973.
