As a teacher myself, and a mad lover of technology to help improve student engagement in the classroom, I am thrilled to have Susan on the podcast and beyond excited for her and the success that she has achieved to date.Creating these interactive whiteboard lessons was of interest for Susan, it was in her skill set and it was also a great way to occupy herself during her hours spent wide awake with insomnia. Any teacher will tell you (me included), how demanding the job is when you literally have to create everything yourself, lessons included, learning new technology included! So, when Susan saw these Interactive Whiteboards going under-utilised in many classrooms, she asked herself, “why”? The answer… teachers are time poor. They don't have time to learn the tech nor the time to make their lessons using the software that the school had purchased for them. Money was being wasted and not every student was being given the equal opportunity to engage in learning, using this type of technology.So there was Susan.
