Today I want to talk about my $5,000 giveaway. Now, I know what you're thinking. I'm not giving away $5,000, but it's $5,000 worth of value. And here I'll explain why.
Hey, what's up guys, Paul K here. And today I'm explaining to you a giveaway that I'm actually testing. So you guys know I've been in the process of building software. And excuse me, I'm a little out of breath.
I just finished a little run. And then the process of building the software. It's been about at least $5,000 on the process. And there were other solutions I could have used just to kind of put out there white label and other options.
But for me, it was one of the things that I needed to do. I needed to have the ability to say that I've completed something, done something new, and I finished it. And I didn't just want to white label somebody else's. Even though I know it's a viable option.
But what I created fit the needs of the benefits of things that I was actually looking for. And so in the process of doing this, it's been challenging. I learned a lot. And it always keeps me abreast of like, hey, OK, this is what's going on and how I can learn to be a better communicator, to get the needs done of the people who I'm hiring so that we can accomplish our goal.
So in this process, I decide, you know what? I'm going to test probably about 100 accounts. And I'm just going to test this giveaway. And with this giveaway, my whole purpose is to see how people do with the lead magnet.
And I'm only testing in a local area, just so I can learn a little bit more and see how it actually does. Now, I know the value is there, but it's just one of those things where I want to actually see it through. And so like I'm always saying, it's you have to test. If you're not willing to test, then you're not going to really know what works.
Now, do I think this is a little bit on the higher end of giving value? Absolutely. But at the same time, I really believe it will separate myself from people who are, you know, hey, a PDF versus a software. Like which one has more value?
The software. Now, the downside is the software isn't going to be for everybody. It's not a busy, calm kind of thing. Like, hey, opportunity to make money.
But this is specifically for people who have businesses. So someone has a business and they're not communicating via text. This is a great option to them. Or those are spending hundreds of dollars every month for that option.
Like, here's a low cost alternative that I'm actually giving the software away for free. So I'm going to test that and see how it does. And then from there, we can gauge. And I'm happy to share the results.
So, you know, hey, here it is. This is a strong lead magnet. And I put it together with a web page. I had to do some problems with the, actually, like a one-click opt-in versus put an email and stuff like that.
So that process is almost done. But I was like, you know, I just got put out there and start seeing how the feedback is. So I launched some Gmail ads behind it. And so just in the local area, so I'm not testing it nationwide or, you know, across the world, I just want to see how we're doing a local market.
And I've already seen influx of traffic to the website from people curious, like, hey, it's for real? And, you know, yes, it's absolutely real. But the question is, am I giving away too much value where people don't trust me because they don't know me? And so I think there's that sense of like leering this.
It's like, hey, I'm going to give you $1,000. And you're like, look at this. Why are you going to give me $1,000? Well, the reality is, anyone who signs up, they're actually helping me.
They're helping me learn how to craft the message better. They're learning how to see if there's anything wrong with the program. They actually give me feedback. Like, hey, this is wrong.
It's a couple of things I was even testing. It's like, maybe I should charge like $5. Or, you know, be something on a recurring basis. So that person's more invested.
So that if the initial freeze and something that's going, OK, that's not really resonating as well, because I'm getting a different type of client than I want, then I'm going to charge a very nominal fee and have 75% to 90% off. And that way, it creates more buy-in, and it's more believable. And if I do it that way, I'll probably end up doing a redemption funnel. And I really haven't talked about this much.
I've done a live on it. But the redemption funnel is, hey, you're using traffic source from another site that has a group on offer or something like that that already has traffic. So then you're not spending money on traffic. You're just actually fulfilling on your obligation of your promise.
And so there's all these different methods. But the thing is, what I'm always trying to press upon you guys, if you're not starting to test these processes, if you're not trying to develop what is the best process that's consistently performed for your business, then you're really never going to know. So a lot of times people just stay with what works or doesn't work, and then they complain. Well, you can't complain if you're not really willing to invest in your business to try to get it to create the most profitable situation.
And so that is my goal for you guys. It's like, hey, what do I need to do? Now, is this a little bit more extreme? Again, I said yes, it is.
But it's something I only do because my idea client is going to spend at least $1,000 a month if not five. So I can afford to pay for that knowing that what I'm going to get returned. So what is your loss leader that you want to put up in order to attract that customer? So my idea customer, somebody who has a list, somebody who understands the value of communication, understands that you have to communicate.
You have to send offers, but you have to give value. And so what I'm going to do is put my foot forward and say, here's value. This is something I believe you're probably going to need in a business owner, and I'm targeting people in the fitness industry. I love fitness, and I was like, you know what?
I see a lot of people fitness struggling. It's that time of year, why not offer them a solution that can solve some of the problems? And so people are like, well, you know, text is a little old. You can just use Facebook.
It's a messenger. Yes, you can't. The problem with that is you don't control that list. So my thing is, if Facebook were to go away tomorrow, what would you use to communicate?
Ideally, you have email and you should have cell phone numbers. So if you have those two options, then it really doesn't matter. By controlling your list, you can control your prospects and the communication that they're getting from you. If you're not controlling that list, you're always at the whim of that platform that you're utilizing.
So my thing is, how do you stay in control? How do you decide what to do and what to focus on, so that you can create the best possible scenario to increase your business growth? A little convoluted, yes. But understand the process is my goal is for everybody to have to spend less money in their advertising so they can still get, if not the same or more, results by communicating with people.
And so this means of touching people for less than a penny, 0.001 is awesome way. Now, if you had media, that's a little bit different. But if you guys are interested in it, I'll put a link on the SB Warriors page for a short amount of time to say, hey, if you're interested in seeing what this software does, feel free to check it out. Just all you ask is, hey, at least a feedback and tell me what you think.
If you think this is something that's viable, it's solved a lot of the problems. I don't want to go into benefits versus features, which I'm probably talking about in a nice episode. But it solves a lot of problems. And I was happy with all the other text and solutions that were on the market.
So I said, OK, so it solved a lot of problems that all the other text and solutions had to market. And so I was like, let me go ahead and make this. And for a first project, I wouldn't recommend it for some. So it solved a lot of the text problems that I was seeing on the market.
Now, for a first product, I really wouldn't recommend to dive into solving such a major problem the way I did. But that was my choice. And I'm glad I did it because I learned. And I'm willing to now share that with others.
And hopefully, if you guys get a chance, you might want to take a look at this and give your feedback. And hopefully, you get some use on this because my whole goal is to help people solve problems and build up. My whole goal is to help people solve problems and help me provide solutions for people to grow their business and increase their overall happiness in their life. All right, guys.
Hope you enjoy. And we'll talk to you next time.
