Over the years I experienced life inside several very different Christian traditions including:-the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America-the Assemblies of God-a large non-denominational megachurch-the United Church of Christ-the Presbyterian Church (USA)-the Evangelical Presbyterian ChurchEach of these churches shaped my faith in different ways—some good, some difficult, but all part of God’s providence.Along the way I experienced:• a dramatic conversion in a Pentecostal youth group• exposure to expository preaching• theological battles in mainline Protestantism• discovering Reformed theology through teachers like R. C.
