This week we literally dive into the largest alpine lake in North America, Lake Tahoe. While this beautiful location has become a major vacation destination over the years with its crystal blue waters and breathtaking mountain scenery, many seem to forget that just below the surface 10,000 years of mysteries have been piling up. From anceint water spirits to forests of "cement shoe" victims and even its very own lake monster, Lake Tahoe certainly holds its secrets well. We start the episode by going over lake Tahoe's creation and those who called it home, long before lumber men and prospectors settled the area. We ask the question if the infamous water spirits and Cave Rock could be behind the emergence of Tessie, the lake monster of Lake Tahoe and whether the viel beneath surface will always reamin thin.
