As another day begins to draw towards its close, let’s pause together for a few quiet moments, open God’s Word and find renewed confidence in the goodness of God. Some days ask more of us than we expected. We have carried responsibilities, faced unexpected disappointments and perhaps quietly hidden worries that no one else has seen. Yet none of these things change who God is. His goodness is not diminished by difficult days, and His loving care remains a secure refuge for every heart that turns towards Him. Nahum 1:7 (NIV) “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.” What a comforting promise to receive this evening. We are not invited to face life’s challenges alone. We are invited to come near to the God whose goodness never fades and whose care never grows weary. Within His presence we discover fresh courage, quiet reassurance and a place where anxious hearts can breathe again. So this evening, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ remains our safe refuge, surrounding us with His steadfast love and gracious care. Father, thank You that Your goodness remains constant through every season of life. Thank You that Your presence is a place of welcome, safety and lasting hope. Lord Jesus, bless every listener this evening. Bring healing to those who are unwell, comfort to those carrying hidden grief, renewed courage to those facing uncertain circumstances and peaceful assurance to everyone who longs to know Your nearness. Help us find our security in You rather than in changing situations. Holy Spirit, draw us closer to the Father’s heart, strengthen our confidence in His goodness and help us become people who reflect His kindness to others. Across the world, from Adelaide to Queenstown, from Singapore to Denver and Montevideo, may every listener finish this day resting in the confidence that the Lord is good and His loving care never fails.
