Nanda Mehta on Yoni Ki Baat: South Asian Women’s Stories, Identity, and Culture

Today, we’re marching for change with Nanda Mehta — a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, women’s advocate, entrepreneur, and cultural connector whose life has spanned continents and communities.Raised across Asia, Africa, and America by the age of eighteen, Nanda developed a global lens early on — and a deep belief that travel is one of the greatest forms of education. She is the founder and CEO of Creative Journeys, a travel and event management company she launched in 1990, grounded in the idea that exploration expands understanding.In 2015, she founded Ahaana, a nonprofit dedicated to elevating cultural awareness of South Asian communities through women’s voices, art, and theater. At the heart of Ahaana’s work is Yoni Ki Baat, a nationally recognized storytelling platform featuring bold and authentic stories written and performed by South Asian artists.
