Nathan Stephens narrates his blog written for Dementia Researcher. In this blog Nathan explores a topic that he has been thinking a lot about, the narrative and public perception of dementia. Dementia awareness has excelled through the direction of successive national strategies which has undoubtable influenced public opinion, and political appetite for positive social change. However, Nathan argues there is much to be done to improve the dementia narrative which can sometimes be inadvertently misleading from those ‘inside’ the dementia arena.
