As we continue to pay attention to the political changes and economic shifts, we need to understand how nationalism is making waves across the continents. Historically speaking, what was the relationship between nationalism and culture? Dr. Eric Storm is a specialist in Spanish history of the 19th and 20th centuries. He also conducted extensive research into the construction of regional identities in France, Spain and Germany between 1890 and 1940. At present, I mainly publish about nationalization processes in a comparative perspective. Dr. Storm focuses on high culture (art, architecture) and more banal forms of nationalism (tourism, world fairs, domestic sphere, cuisine). His latest book is called "Nationalism: A World History."
