Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) and Warriors of the Wind (1985) w/ Amity Gilmour

Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind premiered in Japan to good reviews. A year later, an awful cut of the film emerged in North America called Warriors of the Wind which misread the tone of the movie and featured a bad English dub. That bad dub changed anime in the west because Miyazaki's hatred of it had him and his people threaten Harvey Weinstein with a prop katana when he wanted to cut Princess Mononoke over a decade later.
