Navigating Criticism as Women Both Online & in the Military (ft. bff Jackie Barnum Fox)

from Why Not #DoBoth with Kellie Sbrocchi · host Kellie Hall Sbrocchi

How often do you feel criticized for your passions, hobbies, or your personality, sometimes just for being you? We get it. As women in the military, there’s often an unspoken pressure to constantly prove we belong. To prove we’re equals. To prove our worth. And sometimes, that pressure can make it feel like we have to tone down our personalities or hide parts of ourselves just to be taken seriously. In this episode, Jackie and I sit down over coffee to talk about embracing the unique strengths we bring as women, no matter what career path we’re in. We share honest advice on how to lead with confidence while still staying true to who you are. As “influencers,” we also face plenty of criticism and negativity online from people who think we should change how we show up or share our stories. But we’ve learned that authenticity is far more powerful than fitting into someone else’s expectations. Our goal with this conversation is to empower you to feel confident not just in or out of uniform, but in every passion you choose to pursue. Tune in to hear real conversations, tangible advice for handling the “haters,” and practical steps to help you step fully into your most authentic self in 2022.Love listening to Jackie?
