In our first interview, Overton talked about the horrifying events she witnessed as a critical care nurse during Covid in a hospital in Hendersonville, Tennessee. All except two of the hundreds of Covid patients she witnessed being put on ventilators died. Nonetheless, the treatment protocols remained unchanged. To this day, ventilators and Remdesivir are protected as medical countermeasures under the PREP Act that was declared for Covid-19 (and ends only in December 2029). Overton quit her job in protest against the hospital killings and founded the organization "The Nurse Freedom Network" in the summer of 2021. Later, in 2022, she founded Remnant Healthcare, a private membership association that provides nursing and also patient advocacy services. According to its website, its mission is to "provide compassionate, patient-centered healthcare services using holistic modalities and a root cause approach."
