New book from St. Louis native Terry Lemons chronicles 1926 World Series Champion Cardinals

from The Chris and Amy Show on KMOX

'The Year St Louis Became a Baseball Town: The Cardinals, Babe Ruth & the 1926 World Series' is a new book from St Louis native & former White House reporter Terry Lemons. He's back in town for a book signing at The Royale on Saturday night. 'The book is about baseball,' says Lemons, 'but [also] the events around it.' He touches on pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander, aviator Charles Lindbergh, the role of KMOX, and the history of the Cardinals in the early 20th century. He says research is a lot easier now compared to 10-20 years ago because newspapers have moved their stories online.
