New York’s Governor Appoints Special Prosecutor For Cornell Gang Rape Investigation

Governor Kathy Hochul held a brief, joint press conference with New York Attorney General Letitia James. Governor Hochul said the Cornell rape accuser was 'failed' by the people who were obligated to protect her, namely the police and the District Attorney. Hochul issued an executive order appointing James as special prosecutor, saying newly released information raises serious questions about the investigation. The alleged victim went to campus police three weeks after she says seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity drugged and raped her back in 2024. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
