We have been receiving access to a new mainframe with the possibility to test AI and the latest mainframe features. openSUSE zSystems is supported by Red Hat on OpenShift Virtualization with the goal that users can use it with OpenShift AI. Additionally, there are some interesting upstream projects who are enabling their software for s390x. You will receive an overview about what has been added to the open source community for Linux on Z. Finally, you will have a good understanding about what you can do with openSUSE zSystems in the future.
