Today, let's talk about hobbies again. The character in our story is Lisa, a Canadian. Lisa's hobby is sewing. So, let's begin. Lisa lives in Vancouver, Canada, and is an elementary school teacher. Her hobby is sewing. Since she was young, Lisa has been interested in handcrafting. She started with knitting, eventually learning to knit scarves and socks. When Lisa was in middle school, her mother bought her a sewing machine. From then, she learned how to use the machine and sew from her mother. Initially, Lisa made simple bags, but her sewing skills quickly improved. Now, she can make dresses and blouses herself. She not only makes clothes for herself but also for her friends and family. Currently, Lisa is learning Japanese. Last year, during her trip to Japan, she bought Japanese sewing books and fabric with Japanese designs. She is now interested in traditional Japanese clothing like kimonos and yukatas. Once her Japanese improves, she wants to study about kimonos in Japanese. Lisa's goal for 2024 is to make a summer dress using the sewing patterns and techniques from the Japanese sewing book she bought. The Japanese patterns and methods are different from those in Canada, making it a challenging but exciting project. Once the dress is complete, she wants to show it to her Japanese teacher. Lisa's long-term goal is to sew a yukata herself.”
