Robert PolichtRobert Policht began his fire service career as a volunteer in Allendale NJ, where he rose through the ranks to serve as Chief of Department in 2021.  Rob was hired by the City of Passaic NJ as a career Firefighter in 2016. Rob was promoted in 2023 to the rank of Lieutenant and is assigned to Engine Company 1 with responsibility of Marine 1. He has assisted with developing and establishing the department’s Response to Incidents of Domestic & Industrial Entrapment and is attached to the Fire Investigation Unit.  Lieut Policht is an Instructor with the Bergen County, NJ, Fire Academy and also serves on the NJ Division of Fire Safety's Fire Threat Task Force.  Policht has a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arizona State University and has been published in several trade publications.  He is a founder of and contributor to Flow and Vent, which is a website that's dedicated to fire and rescue training.
