No. 1 Wisconsin women rout No. 2 Ohio State; Top-ranked Michigan State stops Badgers on men's side - CHS 1-2-25

It’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. Women No. 1 Wisconsin 6, No. 2 Ohio State 0The drama between the two top-ranked teams in the nation … wasn’t. No. 1 Wisconsin scored quickly to set the tone and dominated second-ranked Ohio State 6-0 to improve to 20-1 on the season. The Badgers got a pair of goals from Lacey Eden and Laila Edwards scored her 19th of the season. Edwards is second in the nation in goals scored and total point. She’s got 40 on the season, five behind national leader and teammate Casey O’Brien, who’s got 45. The Badgers outshot the Buckeyes 36-18 and Ava McNaughton picked up her seventh shutout of the season for Wisconsin. They’ll do it again on Saturday at Wrigley Field for the Frozen Confines outdoor game. No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth 6, Syracuse 2Olivia Wallin scored twice and Clara Van Wieren scored her 10th of the season as No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth topped Syracuse 6-2 in the first game of a two-game set that was rescheduled from the opening weekend of the season. Men No. 1 Michigan State 4, Wisconsin 3Isaac Howard scored for the fourth game in a row for his 12th goal of the season helping lead No. 1 Michigan State past visiting Wisconsin 4-3 on Thursday at Munn. Wisconsin jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but three straight goals by Karsen Dorwart, Howard and Charlie Stramel pushed the Spartans to 16-2-1. World JuniorsI alluded to the point there wouldn’t be much on World Juniors except some pertinent results, so here’s some pertinent results. Team USA moved into the semifinals after a 7-2 win over Switzerland. The U.S. jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first and cruised. Boston College’s Ryan Leonard and James Hagens each scored twice and Eagles teammate Gabe Perrault dished out three assists to lead the Americans. Canada on the other hand, had just one NCAA player, Maine forward Bradly Nadeau, and he scored, but it was Czechia that bounced the neighbors to the north 4-3 to advance to face Team USA in the semifinals. It’ll be Sweden vs. Finland in the other semi.
