No Matter What Happens Tomorrow, I'm Becoming More Politically Active

Like a lot of people I’m alarmed at the state of our country. Nov 3rd 2020, what’ll happen? With the looming scourge of fascism breathing down our necks. The specter of Climate Change to do a number on our Planet sooner rather than later, and the overall inequities that exist due to Capitalism has led me to one conclusion; no matter what happens tomorrow, I’m going to become more politically active. I feel as though now, that I've taken these last 4 years to dive into civics and see how we can actually make changes in our government and the long road it takes to get there. I do think we need to be engaged a lot more. There are still local races that go unchallenged and folks on the school board, judiciary, and county sheriff that are elected positions. After reading the book “Run for Something” I feel like more folks should run for something. Go to the website https://runforsomething.net/ and see if there is a place you can help out either by running or supporting candidates that share your political will is a good thing. There is a possibility that Trump will get 4 more years. If that does happen, we’ll need to figure out how we can use federalism to make the “Blue” states safe havens for laws that don’t encroach on our rights and autonomy.
