What is this, a game, a word game even! Well I guess I gotta talk about! Like others I've jump in on the Wordle bandwagon and I gotta say I really enjoy it! In this Podcast I talk about a brief history of the game and what lead it to being created. Then I dive deep into my strategy for the game since I SUCK at word games. Then we talk about some of the imitators that have come about because of the "Wordle Effect".  At the time when I recorded this, the acquisition hadn't happened yet for Wordle to the New York Times so we don't touch on it here.  Thanks for listening!    

So I really liked "Don't Look Up" and after watching it I wanted to revisit "Deep Impact" again to see how the two compare. So I ramble on a bit about how differently the two movies treat the characters who discovered the comet, the Government response to finding out an Extinction Level Event is happening, and their poking fun of the "both sides-ism" we find in political debates at the moment. Like a lot of people I’m alarmed at the state of our country. Nov 3rd 2020, what’ll happen? With the looming scourge of fascism breathing down our necks. The specter of Climate Change to do a number on our Planet sooner rather than later, and the overall inequities that exist due to Capitalism has led me to one conclusion; no matter what happens tomorrow, I’m going to become more politically active. I feel as though now, that I've taken these last 4 years to dive into civics and see how we can actually make changes in our government and the long road it takes to get there. I do think we need to be engaged a lot more. There are still local races that go unchallenged and folks on the school board, judiciary, and county sheriff that are elected positions. After reading the book “Run for Something” I feel like more folks should run for something. Go to the website https://runforsomething.net/ and see if there is a place you can help out either by running or supporting candidates that share your political will is a good thing. There is a possibility that Trump will get 4 more years. If that does happen, we’ll need to figure out how we can use federalism to make the “Blue” states safe havens for laws that don’t encroach on our rights and autonomy. I went into it with a suspension of disbelief cause I saw the original when I was 7 so my understanding of the world was much different then. Ya ever get to a point where you just scream "WHY!" cause you feel stuck? I know that feel; in this episode I'm documenting a short framework that helps me problem solve some issues I've had in the past. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me!

Having reformed my thoughts on the idea, I go over my personal experiences with my parents imploring corporal punishment, observations of parents disciplining their own kids and why I feel all use of force used against kids is abuse.

Life is Strange 2 is coming up so that got me thinking about how polarizing Episode 5 of the original was, I wanted to take a moment and document how I felt about the episode comparing when I first finished the game to when I did a second playthrough.
