Send us Fan MailI’M OFFICIALLY DONE WITH NANCY GRACE.In my opinion, Nancy Grace has been compromised, and I believe her recent coverage of the Nolan Xavier Wells case is helping the opposition shift the narrative.After a series of videos investigating Nolan’s case, yesterday Nancy brought on guests who made some extremely controversial and salacious claims. Now today, she has released a preview of an interview with Johnny Hewitt, a man who claims he was on Horn Island and personally saw Nolan after Warren, Jax, Morgan and Nolan’s former friends had already left the island by boat.According to Hewitt’s account, Nolan allegedly asked him for a ride on his boat. When Hewitt told him no, he claims Nolan responded that it was cool because he had other friends on the island he could ask.Think about the significance of that claim.If people accept Hewitt’s story as fact, it completely changes the public narrative surrounding Nolan’s former friends because he is claiming he personally witnessed them leave Horn Island WITHOUT Nolan and then interacted with Nolan afterward.But here is where I have an even bigger problem with Nancy Grace.The short, explosive portion of this interview was released publicly on social media, while the full interview is behind the FOX One paywall. That means countless people may see the viral snippet without ever watching the complete conversation, hearing the full context, or examining how Hewitt’s claims were questioned and challenged.And what will the takeaway become?“Nolan was alive after his former friends left.”“They left Nolan on the island.”“They must be innocent.”“They’ve been exonerated.”That is exactly how narratives get shifted before all of the evidence has been fully examined.A witness making a claim does NOT automatically make that claim established fact, and it certainly does not automatically exonerate anyone.I have supported Nancy Grace’s coverage when I believed she was asking the difficult questions.
