Len Clark has more.For the second straight year Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman has been named a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award. Freeman guided the Irish to a 10–2 regular season and one of the most dominant 10-game win streaks in college football over the last five years. Notre Dame finished in the top-20 nationally in nearly every major statistical category. Meanwhile, Athletic Director Pete Bevacqua held a press conference and called the Irish’s College Football Playoff snub “a gut punch.” Notre Dame will now evaluate bowl participation on a yearly basis.
