We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity.” So, what drives humans in their day-to-day lives in the future?

In this episode of Positively Trek, hosts Dan and Barry take a look at Starfleet and the Federation through the lens of meritocracy: a system based on influence or power wielded by those whom society deems are educated and skilled. We also examine some problems that might arise from that system through the examples of Nova Squadron, Red Squad, and a flock of seriously corrupt “badmirals.”
