11 Years of National Podcast Post Month kicks off on November 1, 2018! In 2007, 50 podcasters participated in the first ever National Podcast Post Month aka NaPodPoMo. Created by Jennifer Navarrete as an answer for an audio version to other 30 day challenges happening in the month of November. NaPodPoMo is a month long event where you are challenged to podcast every day for 30 days from November 1st-30th. Use any platform you desire. From full production studio to iPhone app and just about anything in between. The goal of National Podcast Post Month is to use the challenge of podcasting daily as a form of podcasting bootcamp. This month, if you accept this challenge, may be your first efforts into podcasting. For more experienced podcasters, consider this challenge a chance to try out a new platform or start another show. According to Jennifer, there are no hard and fast rules as to how you do this. If on November 30th you have recorded 30 shows, then you win. What do you get for winning? You get virtual high five and a sense of accomplishment enough. And a shout out from me in my podcast. Let me know if you are taking the challenge, and let me know if I can help out. My challenge - write reviews for 30 podcasts on iTunes. http://jennifernavarrete.com/nbpm-1-napodpomo-nablopomo/ Recorded in Studio C at the 511 Studios in the Brewery District, downtown Columbus, OH. Subscribe to my free weekly Open The Mic Newsletter at www.circle270media.com. It's chock full of podcast news you may have missed, as well as social media, sales, and audio production tips, as well as insights on how to grow your podcast. Anything that catches my eye that I think you, the Podcaster, should know about. Brett Johnson is the owner and lead consultant at Circle270Media Podcast Consultants. We'll cover content like having tough conversations with loved ones or significant others, talking to your boss about a raise, and building social skills. Treating those concepts as memes lets us use Social Science tools to fix them, which is why the podcast is named what it is. The episode descriptions should give you a pretty good idea of what's going to be discussed, but I'd advise you to listen to the first one first, just to understand the intent and format of the overall podcast.
