Prayer in the modern era is often thought of as a list of profane demands or worldly transactions in order for our desires to be fulfilled. However, Jesus rearranged prayer as a space for the encounter of love between the Son and the Father. To pray in the name of Jesus means to ask for what is in harmony with Christ's heart—love, unity, and salvation of the world.
