Nuno Costa Santos nasceu em 1974 e é escritor e argumentista. Cresceu nos Açores, de onde saiu aos 18 anos, para regressar aos 45 "como um marinheiro que volta a casa", podemos dizer agora que acabámos de ler o seu mais recente livro. Tem trabalhado em vários géneros: romance, poesia, biografia, crónica e peças de teatro. No audiovisual, fez parte da equipa de programas como “Zapping” ou “Os Contemporâneos”, participou, como argumentista, no filme "Discos Perdidos" e nos documentários biográficos "Ruy Belo, Era uma Vez", “Rui Knopfli: I am really the underground” e “J.H. Santos Barros – Fazer Versos Dói”. A personagem melancómico, que, nas suas palavras, criou para “encontrar um conforto na abstracção urbana”, teve diversas consagrações – do livro à rádio. Assina colaborações em diferentes jornais e revistas. É um dos fundadores da produtora Alga Viva, com sede nos Açores, dirige a revista literária Grotta e o Encontro Arquipélago de Escritores. Em 2023, lançou o livro “Como um Marinheiro eu Partirei, Uma Viagem com Jaques Brel”, que abre com o poema "You are welcome to Elsinore", de Mário Cesariny.
