The North West Department of Education is today visiting the family of the learner who died after collapsing on school grounds after  allegedly being punished for being late when the incident occurred. The grade ten learner was allegedly made to run on the school grounds as a form of punishment  for being late. The learner from Huhudi Secondary School, in Ganyesa in the North West province was rushed to the nearest clinic after the incident and was declared dead on arrival.The North West department of education is investigating the circumstances surrounding the teen's death. We spoke to Mphata Molokwane, Spokesperson for the  North West Education Department.
