NXIVM & DOS

NXIVM was a cult started by former Amway employee Keith Raniere and financed by Seagram’s liquor heirs. Members thought they were in a program about self-realization and enlightenment, but it turned out to be a cover-up for sex slavery and racketeering. Smallville actress Allison Mack was recruited, and she eventually ran a secret society called DOS where women were branded and forced to give collateral which would be used as blackmail.
