The media “and” too many in the black community rarely seek out voices of black men within the family structure. Yet, there are endless conversations about absent black men in families. Wouldn’t it make much more sense to hear from black men who do hold their family down? Wouldn’t it make more sense to hear from the men the black community says it desires to see more of? 👉🏾What should we be learning from these black family men that we could emulate in more black families? The thing we claim to want isn’t the the thing we put enough of our energy into supporting. All too often the black community focuses our energy on the men who are not acting in the best interest of his family.👈🏾 Realnesssssssssssss: Even though women have the freedom to choose the father of their children in the vast majority of cases (you knew he was no good BUT you had a whole child or children with him…👀.
