O período de férias do presidente Jair Bolsonaro, de 18 de dezembro de 2020 a 5 de janeiro deste ano, custou aos cofres públicos R$ 2,4 milhões. Destes, quase R$ 1,2 milhões foram gastos com o cartão corporativo do governo federal, R$ 1,05 milhão bancaram combustível e manutenção de aeronaves, e R$ 202 mil diárias da equipe de segurança presidencial. O presidente foi até Guarujá (SP) e São Francisco do Sul (SC). Os números foram apresentados pela Presidência da República à Câmara dos Deputados, atendendo a dois pedidos de informações do deputado Elias Vaz (PSB-GO). Na resposta ao primeiro pedido, o Gabinete de Segurança Institucional (GSI) dá poucas informações sobre a viagem. O valor das diárias da equipe de segurança presidencial foi fixada em R$ 202 mil – já gastos com a aeronave foram estimados em 185 mil dólares, ou R$ 1,050 milhão.
