The search for wisdom (sapientia) spans the human experience across time because we are created to seek wisdom. In seeking after wisdom, mankind is seeking Him who is the source of all wisdom – the only wise God. However, since the fall, the children of Adam and Eve have embraced the foolish ways of sin and have sought wisdom apart from God.
