Obedience: The Everyday Disciple John 15

Although obedience is not mentioned directly. It should be what a disciple practices on a daily basis. He is to keep the commands of Jesus and be led by Holy Spirit as he receives from Jesus (the True Vine) that which is required so that he may bear lasting fruit. On occasions we may erroneously focus on the how and when to obey. Jesus helps us to understand the why we should be obedient. We should obey because we understand his great love for us, we understand the plan which he includes us in and because not all will hate and persecute us, some will hear the message and believe.
